Hej! I’m Chris. I am Northcraft, Northcraft is me. After 15 years working in creative - from photo studios to print houses and agencies to in-house teams, I started Northcraft to bring my collective experience to the table.
I’ve loved all things creative since the early days of the internet (RIP Geocities). I’ve helped startups get off the ground, led international print and digital brand activations, and love giving old-school brands fresh new looks.
My love of Nordic design was born from my Scandinavian roots. Growing up in Minnesota, I was surrounded by smörgåsbord and saunas. I danced around midsommarstångar, baked kannelbullar, and watched skijoring while drinking glögg. Scandinavian principles, specifically within design, have been with me from the beginning.
Okay, so what are these Nordic Design Principles anyway?
Nordic and Scandinavian design principles have influenced various fields, including interior design, architecture, fashion, and product design. These principles are known for emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and minimalism, and while these are three important elements, there's so much more to it than that.
